Recognize Great Customers with Silver Plate Award Nominations

CHICAGO, IL (Oct. 14, 2009)—The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Silver Plate Awards. These awards, the foodservice industry's premier operator awards, are presented annually by IFMA in recognition of lasting and outstanding contributions by foodservice operators in nine segments of operations. Distributors can nominate customers in the following award categories:

  • Independent Restaurants
  • Chain Full Service/Multi-Concept Operators
  • Chain Fast Service
  • Health Care
  • Elementary and Secondary Schools
  • Colleges and Universities
  • Business & Industry/Foodservice Management
  • Specialty Foodservices
  • Hotels and Lodging

To nominate an operator, simply download and complete the official IFMA nomination form, including all pertinent information on the candidate's qualifications. Nomination forms, along with tips for submitting a winning nomination, can be accessed at www.ifmaworld.com. The deadline for submissions is December 4.

The Silver Plate Jury meets in February and includes the prior year's Silver Plate Award winners and chief editors of leading foodservice trade publications. After determining the nine Silver Plate winners, the Gold Plate recipient is selected from among them by secret ballot. Winners will be feted at the annual Gold & Silver Plate Celebration banquet to be held May 24, 2010, during the National Restaurant Association show in Chicago.
