Springfield Grocer Named UniPro 2012 Distributor Of The Year

PHOENIX, AZ (April 11. 2013)—Springfield Grocer Company, Springfield, Missouri, received the UniPro Foodservice 2012 Distributor of the Year Award at UniPro’s Spring Purchasing Conference and annual Awards Luncheon held this year in Phoenix, Arizona.

The 2012 Distributor of the Year Award was presented to Springfield Grocer by Roger Toomey, UniPro president and CEO. The UniPro Distributor of the Year Award recognizes one UniPro member company for its increased growth and participation in all of the UniPro programs, through purchasing growth, support of key UniPro sales and marketing programs, and who has exhibited outstanding leadership in the foodservice distribution industry.

Springfield Grocer has been a member of UniPro Foodservice since 1974.The company has been serving customers in the Ozarks since 1865. It now markets more than 10,000 nationally branded products and delivers to restaurants, hotels and resorts, health care facilities, schools and other food service operations spanning 250 miles surrounding Springfield
