Sysco Appoints New ceos in Arkansas and KC Units



Harry C. Cotros was appointed president and ceo of Sysco Food Services of Arkansas, LLC, in Little Rock. Cotros, who currently serves as executive vice president of Sysco’s broadline subsidiary in Houston, has assumed his new position. He succeeds Henry P. Jolly, who was named president and chief executive officer of Sysco Food Services of Kansas City located in Olathe, KS.

Cotros, 37, began his Sysco career in 1991 as a marketing associate at Hardin's-Sysco Food Services, located in Memphis, TN, before transferring to distributorship’s Orlando, FL, operation as district sales manager in 1994. In 1996 he joined the West Coast Florida company in the same position and in 1998 progressed to regional vice president of sales for that company. In 1999 Cotros was promoted to vice president of territory sales at Sysco’s Houston subsidiary. He advanced to senior vice president of sales the following year and in 200l he was appointed to his current position.

A native of Memphis, TN, Cotros is a 1991 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He and his wife, Joelle, have three daughters and will relocate to the Arkansas area in the near future.

Jolly has already assumed his new responsibilities at Sysco Food Services of Kansas City. He succeeds current president and chief executive officer James D. Hope, who was recently named group president, customer, as part of a strategic development process announced by Sysco Corp. on Nov. 21, 2005.

Jolly, 51, began his Sysco career in 1983 as a produce specialist for Mid-Central/Sysco, the predecessor company to Sysco’s Kansas City subsidiary. In 1985 he was named produce manager at the corporation’s Memphis, TN, operation and in 1989 he transferred to the Houston operating company as director of merchandising. Jolly relocated to Dallas in 1997 to serve as senior vice president of merchandising at Sysco’s Dallas broadline distribution company and in 2000 he was named president of FreshPoint Value Added Services, the fresh repackaging division of FreshPoint, Inc. In August, 2001, Jolly returned to the Kansas City operation as executive vice president and last year he was appointed to his current position at the Little Rock subsidiary.

Jolly is a native of Kansas City, MO, where he attended Avila College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, with a concentration in hotel and restaurant management, in 1978. He and his wife, Penny, have a three-year-old daughter and will relocate to the Kansas City area in the near future.
