UniPro/Premier merger plans in due diligence phase

The merger plans of UniPro Foodservice, Inc., Atlanta, and Premier Foodservice Distributors of American, Inc., Stockton, CA, (ID October), creating a $16-$17 billion organization, continue to move forward. A letter of intent has been executed and due diligence will be completed this month. Both memberships will vote on the definitive merger agreement by mid-November and still anticipate a year-end close, according to Roger Toomey, UniPro ceo.

The integration of Premier into UniiPro will take place in the new calendar, with an IT and finance department presence remaining in Stockton. Management structure not yet revealed.
