White, 41, began his foodservice career in 1979 as a product selector at the Pacific division of Serca Foodservice, a Canadian foodservice distribution company that was acquired by Sysco in 2002. While at the Pacific division he held a variety of supervisory and management positions including being named warehouse supervisor in 1986, warehouse manager in 1988 and operations manager in 1993. White was appointed vice president of operations for the Pacific division in 1996 and in 2000 he was named director of operations for Serca's Western division. In May 2003 he was promoted to his current position.
White is a native of New Westminster, British Columbia. He is a 1987 graduate of Simon Fraser University, located in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he earned a Bachelor's of business administration degree with a joint major in economics and organizational behavior. He and his wife, Michelle, have three sons and reside in Calgary.
