Exotic touches differentiate the specialties of this beverage concept from the hordes of places that now offer boba and other hot and cold refreshers from Asia. The authentic global influences are seen in selections like Mung Bean Milk Tea, Sea Cream Black Coffee (think of an Asian flat white) or Mint Sereno (fresh mint tea with real cream and brown sugar.) As accompaniments, the stores offer at least eight varieties of macarons, the French cookie, all made by hand in house. From a 1,100-square-foot storefront in the Little Saigon area of Orange County, 7 Leaves has now expanded throughout Southern California and into the northern parts of the state. It now expects to build out Nevada and Texas before continuing to roll eastward.
