Jim Seidel, a former finance guy known as "Snarf," started Snarf's Sandwiches in Boulder, Colorado, in 1996 in a location known as "The Shack." The brand has gone on to win numerous "best sandwich" awards. Snarf's is now No. 29 on the Future 50, after its sales grew 29% to $29 million. The chain opened six units and operates 34 locations in three states.
