This growing bakery-cafe concept is backed by former Panera Bread CEO Ron Shaich's Act III Holdings. Founded in Boston by pastry chef Tzurit Or, the chain has been growing in Massachusetts and the Washington, D.C. metro area. Breakfast dishes, pastries and coffees are on the menu at Tatte (rhymes with latte), but so are an array of salads and sandwiches, quiche, shakshuka and other Israeli-inspired plates and bowls.
